Plan a trip with your AI assistant: flights, hotels, trains
Give it your origin, dates and budget; it returns a priced itinerary across flights, hotels and trains, a GO/WAIT/NO_GO verdict, and booking links.
What this AI trip planner does for you
Travel Planner is an AI trip-planning skill that searches live flights, hotels, trains, buses, ferries and airport transfers, prices each leg, and hands back one planned itinerary for the trip you describe. It is for people who already plan travel in a chat with an assistant and want that assistant working from today's prices instead of from memory.
You give it an origin, a destination or a date window, and a budget; it works out the rest. It settles airports, dates, traveller count, currency and baggage allowance, then searches for the trip, the place to stay and the ground legs in between. It asks a few questions only when something is missing, and it does not re-ask what it already knows about you.
What comes back is an assessed itinerary rather than a pile of raw results: a recommended booking path with a total estimated cost, a flight shortlist with baggage notes, a hotel shortlist with neighbourhood, rating and cancellation terms, and a GO, WAIT or NO_GO verdict on the trip itself. Where a cheaper option exists, you see the comparison as naive cost, optimised cost and the amount saved, ending in provider links you book from yourself.
The same skill answers the questions around a trip: destination research covering weather, safety, currency, holidays, visa status and neighbourhoods; the cheapest date inside a month; multi-city routing; and recurring price watches that re-check a route or a property against a target price. Trips can be saved and exported to a calendar file.
It suits people who plan several trips a year, anyone deciding between two dates or two cities, and anyone who would rather set a price watch than keep checking a site. It is not for booking on your behalf, and it will not walk you around a map: Travel Planner never books, holds or guarantees a fare, and a normal travel website is still better for a visual browse and a one-click payment.
How it differs from other trip-planning tools
A typical flight-search tool prices one flight and stops. Travel Planner plans the whole journey — the way to the airport, the flight, the arrival transfer, the stay, and the onward train, bus or ferry — and prices each leg in the mode you would really travel it.
A general AI chat can list options it read somewhere; this skill searches and then optimises. It tests alternative departure days, split-airline routings, positioning and hidden-city options, award seats and round-trip fares, ranks them by all-in cost including bags and frequent-flyer status, and reports what the cheaper route saves against the obvious booking.
Where a general chat tends to present one scraped number as the price, Travel Planner separates what it verified from what it estimated. Stays come as fast lead-in prices first, then as matched room-level totals in the room type, occupancy and cancellation terms you asked for, and a source that was blocked or rate-limited is reported as such instead of shown as no availability.
A general chat is still the better tool for a prose brief about a city, and a consumer travel site is still better when you want to browse a map and pay in one place. Choose Travel Planner when the trip has more than one leg, when the dates can move, or when you want the same route checked again next week without doing it by hand.
Questions about planning trips with an AI assistant
10 questions
What is this AI trip planner for?
Travel Planner is for planning a real trip inside an AI assistant. You describe where and when you want to go, and it searches live flights, hotels and ground transport, compares the options and returns one itinerary with prices. It is not a booking site: it plans, prices and links you to the provider.
What do I need to give it?
At minimum an origin and a destination, or an open date window. A departure and return date, a traveller count and a budget all sharpen the result. Anything you leave out, the skill asks for, and details it already holds about you, such as home airports, cabin and luggage, it does not ask again.
Can it plan a trip when I only have a rough idea?
Yes. If you have a free weekend and a budget but no destination, it looks for where that budget reaches from your home airport and returns a destination with flights, a place to stay and the weather. Flexible dates work the same way: give it a month and it finds the cheaper days to leave.
Does it cover trains, buses and ferries, or only flights?
It covers both. Alongside flights and hotels, Travel Planner searches train, bus and ferry providers across Europe and airport transfers, so a door-to-door plan can mix modes: a train to a hub, a flight out, then ground transport to the final town. Each leg is priced in its own mode.
How does it handle hotel prices?
In two stages. A discovery search returns fast lead-in prices for a district or a star rating. When you are choosing where to stay, Travel Planner matches your room type, occupancy, amenities and cancellation needs first, then ranks verified room-level totals including fees where the provider exposes them. Nothing is booked for you.
Will it change my dates or route without telling me?
No. A recommended change appears as a comparison, not as a silent swap: the naive cost, the optimised cost it found, and how much that saves. Your original option stays in view, and the itinerary you receive is the one you approved.
Can it watch a price for me?
Yes. You can set a watch on a route or a property at a target price, and the skill keeps checking it and tells you when the price falls below your target, with the history behind that drop. Watches are stored for you, so a later session can list them and re-check them.
How is this different from asking a general AI assistant?
A general assistant answers from whatever it can read at that moment and forgets your trip when the conversation ends. Travel Planner keeps your traveller details, saved trips and watches, and returns the same structured result each time: prices it verified, options it compared, and the saving it found.
Does it book or pay for anything?
No. Travel Planner never books, holds or guarantees a fare and never takes payment details. It plans, prices and hands you provider links so you finish the booking yourself, which is also why it can show you options a normal booking flow would not surface.
Is it worth using for a short trip?
Short trips are where it helps most, because a weekend has little room for a bad date or a bad routing. For a single flight lookup, an ordinary travel site is faster. The skill earns its place when a trip has several legs, a movable date or a stay still to choose.
